Recipes and stories
Rooted is a map of vegan recipes and stories from all over the world. It was started in 2022 when Marc started travelling the world to learn what it can teach us about vegan cooking. A few months later, Andrea Villa joined on the travels.

Meet the people
Marc
A food enthusiast and the one who started the Rooted project. Back in university, Marc did not have any means of travelling and so his way to travel would be to get to know international students and cook together with them. He works part-time as a programmer while travelling the world.
Andrea
Writer and immigrant passionate about travelling, history, and learning. Andrea began her life among the markets, street vendors, neighborhood joints of Bogotá. Uprooted from home at an early age, food is a marker of lifelong journey of discovery: from congrí to peanut butter, Bánh mì, mole, and kanelbullar. She reads, writes, creates and advocates for a more just world while travelling.
